Si sigue a este ritmo, se convertiría dentro de poco en categoría 5. Le dan picos de hasta 140 kts .-a . Lo más posible es que cuando alcance la categoría máxima de en la escala S.S. se encuentre en océano abierto, si de momento tierra a la vista.
Se mueve por SST muy buena (aguas de 30ºC) y cizalladura muy baja (de entre 5-10 kts). Así que tendrá para rato con este ambiente.

Existing cyclones:
Severe Tropical Cyclone Ului, category 4, was located south of the Solomon
Islands near latitude 13.2 south longitude 158.2 east at 10am AEST Tuesday.
Severe Tropical Cyclone Ului is expected to continue moving slowly in westward
direction today before adopting more of a southerly track during Wednesday.

Miles de hogares sin luz, vientos de 200 kilómetros por hora y numerosos daños materiales. Es el rastro que deja Ului, un ciclón que está azotando el Este de Australia.
Tendidos eléctricos tumbados, tejados que vuelan o árboles abatidos son algunas de las estampas que el ciclón Ului ha dejado en las últimas horas a su paso por el estado australiano de Queensland.
Este fenómeno que comenzó con una fuerza 4 de una escala de 5, ha tocado tierra con grado 3. Una fuerza nada desdeñable que obligó a evacuar a centenares de personas. Aunque algunos intrépidos desafiaron el toque de queda impuesto por la policía en varias localidades.
"Deprisa, vámonos que sino nos va a barrer", insistía un conductor a un grupo de mochileros de visita en una de las regiones más turísticas del país. "Totalmente de locos ver como caían los árboles", señala otro vecino.
Los destrozos en el litoral han sido cuantiosos. Mientras, tierra adentro, el ciclón ya convertido en tormenta tropical ha vuelto inundar vastas extensiones. Desde hace semanas intensas lluvias ya habían azotado esta región.
